NEW: Hotel Pikku-Syöte adds Aihki Kelovilla and Glass igloo stays to its offering

This winter Hotel Pikku-Syöte, a hidden travel gem closed to the southern edge of the Lapland, is expanding beyond its 57 hotel rooms with two new high-end ways to experience the stunning Syöte national park and experience the winter wonderland in a unique way:

  • Aihki Kelo Villa, a private four-bedroom log villa built from centuries-old kelo pine, and
  • Glass igloos upgrade for guests who want to add a little Arctic magic to a luxurious hotel stay.

Aihki Kelo Villa

Every kelo tree begins as an ordinary Arctic pine. For centuries, it grows slowly through the northern seasons, and when its life as a tree ends, it doesn’t fall, it stands for decades more while wind and light and winter cold work it into something rare, silver-grey, densely grained, and impossible to hurry or manufacture. This is the material at the heart of Pikku-Syöte’s newest addition to the hotel.

Inside, the villa comfortably sleeps a larger group across four bedrooms: a master bedroom with an extra-large king bed and a small twin room on the first floor, plus two further twin-bed master bedrooms on the third floor. There are three bathrooms, a large living room with a fireplace and a dining table for eight, a fully equipped kitchen, a private kelo-sauna, and five separate terraces to catch the light at different times of day.

It’s built for groups who want to combine the privacy of their own cabin with the best things Pikku-Syöte offers, the stunning nature, activities either in small groups or privately, and the hotel’s own excellent Kotva restaurant just a few minutes’ walk away. The villa can also be booked out entirely for private events, from a birthday weekend to a small corporate gathering, with a private chef available on request.

The glass igloos: a one-night upgrade to the Arctic sky

Pikku-Syöte offers now the much requested glass igloo stay as an upgrade for its guests. For guests who want to add that experience to a regular stay, a chance to trade one night in a standard room for a night under the stars, with the hotel’s restaurant, sauna, and slopes still just a short walk away. There are only two, spacious igloos, so it will be a private experience and something special for sure.

It’s an easy way to make a normal winter holiday feel like something more — well suited to a couple’s getaway, an anniversary, or simply a night spent watching for the aurora before heading back to the comfort of the hotel.
